
MEET DR. PONTIKAS
Dr. Pontikas enjoys the challenge of periodontics and places his primary focus on meeting the individual needs of each patient. He is proud to offer his patients both surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatment, periodontal cosmetic surgery, soft tissue grafting, dental implants and sinus augmentation. He strives to understand each patient’s desires, circumstances and needs in order to offer the most effective and innovative treatment available.
Dr. Pontikas completed his dental degree at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Dental Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA. He then completed his periodontal training earning a certificate in periodontal surgery and a master’s degree in oral biology at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX.
In addition to maintaining his full-time private practice, Dr. Pontikas is committed to educating tomorrow’s dentists and specialists. As part-time faculty at the A.T. Still School of Dental Medicine and Oral Health, he provides hands-on training and guidance to both dental students and residents. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association and the Spears Study Club.
